NEW Deckman v9 Race Navigation Software

Deckman is the world's most advanced tactical navigation software and is used by winners in every field, from sports boats to the Volvo Ocean Race and America's Cup, the software includes all the tools you need for short course round the buoys racing, long distance offshore and ocean racing. Deckman has numerous functions to assist the racing navigator and tactician in making the right decisions on the race course, however it is also closely integrated with instrument systems and in many cases is able to output functions back to the instrument system displays for use by crew on deck.

What's new in Deckman v9?

The latest version of the highly regarded Deckman tactical navigation software offers new functionality to the racing sailor:

AIS overlay - view all boats equipped with Class A or B AIS tranceivers on a chart layer. Benefits are collision avoidance aid, tracking of competitors and tuning partners position
Enhanced graphics engine with new layline options, including shaded limit layline sectors

Version 9 incorporates the overlay of AIS data, allowing the navigator to view the position, course and speed of all leisure and commercial craft within range equipped with class A and B transceivers. Not only is this important for collision avoidance, but it also gives the tactician a first-hand view of competitors and team mates fitted with AIS systems. Deckman will interface with any NMEA-0183 compatible AIS receiver such as the Simrad AI50.

Deckman V9 also comes with an enhanced graphics engine enabling advanced layline options, including shaded limit layline sectors. This helps the navigator visualise wind shifts when approaching a mark of the course.

Deckman V9 is compatible with many instrument systems including the B&G H2000, H3000 and WTP systems.
